My four day weekend.

Yesterday I woke up relieved. I didnt have to go to school. I worked on my project for physics,cleaned, worked out, danced in my room, didmy thing. Ma and i spent some time at Perkins after she picked me up from the gym. The old couples enjoying what is considered real american cuisine(shrimps inside omelettes) was great.

I hadn't had polish on my fingernails in at least 2 weeks up until yesterday afternoon on the way home from Manhattan... I felt more like myself afterward. Studied for an hour on Friday, hours on Saturday ( Yes, in Manhattan), and one hour today. Physics and Math midterms are this week, and I am very nervous. On Saturday I went through every test and quiz I took in Physics, meanwhile good jazz music played, I sipped chamomile, and spoke with a lady soldier from Brooklyn who is also a trainer at Bally's on 14th street. I went in the basement (nothing else better to explore in the home besides Ma's closet) an found a Shrinky Dinks machine I never used as a kid... still trying to figure it out. I remember being in grade school making stuff with my friend Sarah after school at her house. Her mom had an entire section of their basement dedicated to her stamping hobby. She had millions of stamps and inks from when she used to sell for the brand "Stamp it Up".

Chamomile (Camomilla)

When I was little at my Nonna Josie's she'd always make me Chamomile tea, "camomilla", as she calls it. Whenever I would get a stomach ache (after eating so much of her amazing cooking) she'd make it for me "to settle" my stomach, and it always worked, and still does. I make it all the time to also help me feel relax after a long day.

It was a long night for Leen Lee last night so I was souped to find half a box left of this magic cure in the pantry. I thought we had none left!

Shoes, Coffee, Perfume, and Nonna's Cooking

These were my main treats in which I overindulged during the holidays. That's Pops man... always on the go u know how we do lol. So did Pop.

Today I could not sing along to my playlists as I cleaned, worked out, cooked, and drove.... I seemed more at ease just listening to the artists and each lyric and interpreting.... It seemed as if my thoughts attempted multiple times to keep me from accomplishing anything. I'd be copping up salad and pause randomly to think about petty things....thos e who know me can picture me and crave one of my famous salad like the one I prepared for ma that consisted of endive, red onion, orange slices.

I have uploaded sooooooo many pictures to my computer, so Lina chic will officially be back in business as soon as the new version of iTunes is installed to my computer....Che ca'muria pero (what a pain in the ass).

Vinegar at Buonitalia yesterday were all on sale. I walked out of Jack's on 7th and 31st and walked into a parade... I believe it was Korean. One day I'll need that number for sure. All leather ... 40 bucks... soon I'll be needing those as well. You can see walking all over yesterday in a new month (the one of my birthday) felt good as it felt good to be myself. For me, being in the city is comforting; I can let down my hair and walk around with it no problem because the year-round breeze from the constant motion of people, cars, buses, etc. is there to keep my frizzy mess (i'll never give up) out of face, and allow me to flaunt it the way I love.

2 weeks ago Here was one treasure I found in T.J. Maxxe. Yes, it was designer at ideal price. I encourage all to gain some patience within next time you need an outfit and sift through the rack that looks like a train hit it. I took a picture of these cookies at the Chelsea market to show Pop. They are from Italy, ameretti I volunteered to design the T-shirt for my school organization, Lead for Diversity.
