Hurricane my booti

Here in freehold, we just got madddd rain. Pop didn't get to bed at all. This morning I found him in the basement pumping water out. I baked a batch of blueberry muffins, covered the 4 leftover strawberries with snack pack pudding and stuck them in the freezer, and melted a lindt chocolate bar and added confectioner's sugar, chopped strawberry and peanuts and stuck that in as well... He's gonna need the sugar so he claims. While I worked out on the stair case in the basement and walked on the tredmill, he slept on the chair with the news on and I took over turning the machine on and off. He and Ma like the muffins.

MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR

This is a page from one of my favorite magazines, Instyle. It compares pieces from both rocker and surfer perspectives... it reminded me of my girl Jackie's ("Olear") style. I painted this for Marianna, a friend of mine who just turned 90. The single flower (in between the two trios of flowers) represents her unique character that only she can possess. These are the chocolate party favors from Marianna's bday party... there's something else I should try. I painted this for my cousins Livia and Sylvia, the best twins in the hairstyling buisness I know and that's real. It says, "Capelli by Gemelli", which means Hair by Twins. I moved my art eisel downstairs in the basement next to the treadmill. As I painted "Capelli by Gemelli",it acted something like a nightstand. This is a picture that has traveled from cell to cell over the past 4 years or so. It's my brother and I on our porch. I remember that orange polo Ma bought me from Abercrombie. Told ya I went through mad phases. On Wednesday we took Marianna out to lunch. I finally put on the press-on nail tips I bought in the city one time. They really did look like 50 cents. Marianna loved them. Yesterday Pop grilled the rest of the sea bass he caught not too long ago...in the thunderstorm of New Jersey. 42nd and 2nd at 8:30 this morning was packed. Tough on the outside and pretty mostly on the inside... that's why I love rockin some leather with soft pieces like the red top. Bebe had some mint get-ups lemme tell you. Fur gal-our. For authentic and unique pieces, thrift shops are where it's at. Ma's accumulation of buttons has been completly utilized to add to my jewlery collection. I've made a ton of bracelets, rings and necklaces with the cheap string I bought on Broadway last week. My mother's old buttons to funk up my get-ups forever... what's better than that ? Plus I'm reminded of our passion for accessories.

I can't say much, can't complain so take a look in my room...on my walls.

This is what my desk looked like yesterday...now it is twice as cluttered! Some cat was feeling bitter on 21st street about someone... perhaps they'd been exposed to one repetitive way of life:betrayal. Pop needs his dairy queen fix on the way home during the summer months. He says its the only ice-cream place that maintained the creaminess ice-cream had back in the day like when he worked for Carvel on Bradley avenue. Today I bought leather string for jewlery. With the oyster remains I picked up on Manasquan tied in the middle, I now have a fresh necklace to rock. An old friend of the family will be turning 90 soon. Can't go wrong with some brush strokes on a 5 dollar canvas because the product is what reflects the authenticity of my appreciation of this person. So I know she'll love it.

First Niagra, then a taste of Toronto (3 day family trip)

Toronto: Like any other city...had an old with homes unique in every aspect from the stoops to the barbed wire separating the home from the hundred year old church next door. Then you had an a whole strip (Yonge Street) that to me imitated downtown Manhattan (residential area) with endless, brand new condominium buildings and a Starbucks every couple blocks. Niagra Falls is something I feel so happy about seeing because it definitely added more to my perspective about nature and how valuable it is.

Chelsea and I fall in love all over again.

Fat Sal's Pizzeria on 14th street made me chuckle. ^^^ The Chelsea market is sweet for speciiatly everything under the sun at a decent price. It includes every aspect Chelsea has to offer: style, daily essentials, literature, artwork, food, etc. At the wine mart one can get an imported vino under 9.99 Making cookies are even approached like works of art....as they should be. Everyone's got a story...even oreos. 10th ave...can't be judging before you've actually absorbed it if you know what I mean.
